We also know if you are going beach side to watch the tides. We wandered off to the shore line birding and crossed several stream lines and on our way back we ended up wading almost knee deep to get back.A little muddy and drenched we made it back happy as usual ..
Wood storks, little blue herons and Roseate Spoonbills began their feeding flights as I enjoyed their company. Standing watch with camera and monopod I was ready.
I was so excited to photograph the ever so fast King Fisher and mate. Very vocal birds..
I cease to be amazed at the flight action of all birds, I believe the Wood Storks and Spoonbills were
fighting for my attention as I had a hard time moving from one to the other.
I am always amazed at their acrobatic, dynamic flights , how they begin and how they land. I would definitely recommend birding in the fall here when temps are cooler , we found that mosquitoes come in fogs on the trails. Have plenty of bug spray and be kind as we were and share with those who came without.
A beautiful day with my scout, human GPs and loving soul mate , my husband Tom.
As you can see his fun was concentrating on finding a pre historic sharks tooth. No luck this time , but he knows they are out there.
The end photo was of a water spout trying to form on the beach as we passed by Ponde Vedra beach .. It dissipated sadly ....
Give Guana a try and if you Kayak it was excellent place for that.
As always thanks and Get out to Nature, It does the " SOUL " good !!
